The Karpaz Peninsula, where Dipkarpaz is located, has witnessed many different civilizations throughout the history of Cyprus. Having a strategic importance throughout history, Dipkarpaz has been the transition point between the northern and southern coasts of Cyprus. The main places to visit and see in the region are the following;
Apostolos Andreas Monastery: Considered one of the holiest sites in Cyprus, this monastery is an important stop for Christian pilgrims. The location of the monastery is one of the most extreme points of Dipkarpaz and has a magnificent sea view.
Karpaz National Park: Famous for its wild donkeys, this national park is ideal for those who want to see the natural life of Cyprus up close. It also offers a unique experience for nature lovers with its various bird species and vegetation.

Where is Dipkarpaz?
Dipkarpaz is located on the Karpaz Peninsula at the easternmost tip of Northern Cyprus. It is approximately 120 kilometers from Nicosia and 70 kilometers from Famagusta. As one of the most tranquil and natural areas of the island, Dipkarpaz offers daring travelers a unique experience away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

How to get to Dipkarpaz?
Dipkarpaz region can be reached by road via Karpaz Highway. However, if you have not yet entered Cyprus, you should first land at Nicosia Ercan Airport. Flights from Turkey to TRNC take approximately 1 hour. In addition, if you prefer sea route instead of airway, there are reciprocal ferry services from Kyrenia port to Anamur and Mersin.
Travel time to Dipkarpaz village is approximately 2 hours from Nicosia and Kyrenia and approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Famagusta. You can use your own car for transportation to the region or take a look at car rental options. There are also touristic tours organized to the region.

Food and Drink: Some of the best Iskele restaurants serve in the Dipkarpaz area. However, these restaurants are mostly open on weekends. Therefore, you can take food with you for your visits on other days.
Respect for Wildlife: The region is home to protected species such as wild donkeys and loggerhead sea turtles. To protect wildlife, you should not feed or disturb the animals.
